It's been a long time coming, but spring has hit the boreal forest.

Nice Steve!.......that pitcher plant grabs my eye!......there's a few around my area but found more "sun dews" the pitcher plants.....all nice photos...jonny

The only macro I have now is a cheap Tamron 70-300 macro. I rarely use it. For images like these that involve whole flowers or flowers in groups, which is what I like best anyway, I just use the 100-400mm L image stabilizer. I'm getting a set of extension tubes as well, which will allow even greater magnification from that lens. A tripod is a good idea for this, since it's a heavy lens.
