JKing
Thought I would post this in case a fellow FM'er has the same problem. My Brother in-law bought a new Sportsman this Spring & after about 200 miles it didn't want to stay running on idle without fethering the throttle. He took it to his dealer & it wound up being the throttle cable needed to be tightened up just a little bit. The Dealer was able to fix it in about 2 minutes but he said he spent 4hr. on one with the same issue the week before. I guess there is a new safety kill switch on the new Sportsman's that must sense the tention of the throttle cable.Just a heads up.
SomethingFishy*
Thanks for the heads up. I have a new 2006 Sportsman 500 and have had no issues..... yet. Lets hope I don't need to use the warranty.
