Mitty
I am serious I think a good high school hittng team could beat Radke 89 mph fastball hell good high school hitters would feast on that.
Bobby Bass
I just don't think he has his head in the game. He gives up to many runs in the first three innings of the game and that effects your whole team when you are always behind when he pitches. Hours before the game you are already looking at how you are going to come back. As I tell my son all the time. Sometimes you just got to take the hit and make a change. Cicada
I think the starters are just a little gun shy. They didn't get any run support last year and now think they need to throw a perfect pitch every time they throw the ball. If they can just let loose, they'll be ok. I've always wanted Radke to just start hitting a few batters. They all know he's going to be around the plate and dive in after him. The other thing I think hurting the Twins starters is the lack of depth in the bullpen. I know they (the bullpen) had one of the best ERA's in the American League, but they've let a lot of inherited runners score elevating the starting pitcher's ERA's. I'd be curious to see how many runs they've added to the starter's stats. Also, forcing the starters to go a little longer than Gardy might otherwise want to see them go. Only one lefty in the 'pen is tough.
xedge2002
My vote is for Lohse anytime the hitters give him a lead he gives it back plus a couple of extra. Look at last night he was facing the ROYALS and was in the loss column when he left the game. The guy is to cocky and arrogant and they should try to deal him to whoever will take him. Get him out and give Liriano a chance to blow everybody away. Maybe a few good outings from him as a starter will light a fire under the others.
