Hemlock
Kingfisher, It would be nice to come down for a visit and/or a fish with you, but I'm just not able. I just am swamped with my new business. (gas station...so if you need gas) Just kidding, you'll probably be coming up Highway 71 from your neck of the woods, so you won't be passing through Kenora.Good luck, the trout should be snappy. Kingfisher
troutchaser, Sorry we missed you at Muskie Bay, we left for home Friday morning. The trout were slow when we were there. How did it go for you?
troutchaser
I was up with Good2Go and Harmonator and we did poorly. Two trout and a couple muskies. Weather wasn't all that great but we had a good time anyway.
Kingfisher
Hemlock; We fished Whitefish Narrows last Thursday, and shared the rock shoreline with some very nice people from Kenora. A friend of the Kenora group, who was guiding a client, pulled up with his boat and told us that the boundry for using bait for trout was changed this year from the old boundry from the cabin on the island across to an imaginary line to the other side was changed to the rock pile with the diamond sign. He said he had just checked with the MNR a couple days before and they said it had been changed. Have you heard of this new ruling?
Hemlock
Haven't heard of the new ruling. I highly doubt it, but you never know. I know my uncle proved a CO wrong one day on where the boundary was. I always have taken it to be the southern most green buoy.
Kingfisher
Thanks Hemlock, Two years ago when we were there a guide from one of the resorts told me it was illegal to use bait there, after I got home I e-mailed the resort and stirred up a hornets nest, which resulted in an apology from both the owner of the resort and the guide.
