Squirrelly Tail Gliders

I picked up a couple over the winter, a Muskie Treat and an Extreme Phantom. It is inevitable that the tails are going to be lost or destroyed. What do you use to anchor new tails on the baits?

I use some of the glue that I bought from Rollie and Helen's. Seems to work pretty good.

I've tried the Fishing Glue and not had great luck. I know you and a few others have used it and liked it. What am I doing wrong? Is my problem likely a matter of me not using enough? Can you describe how you apply it? Do you put a bunch of glue in and then fit the plastic in or do you slop up the plastic with glue and then put it in? Doesn't seem like it should be that hard, but I keep losing tails out of my squirly burts.

Muskie Treats are held on with a nail. So glue works. Try super glue. The tails are Action Plastics. Shawn ordered a zillion of them in every color I believe they make. Funny as heck to see boxes of that stuff in is house.

The trick to it is to make sure all the surfaces are very clean. I wipe the surfaces down with a little rubbing alcohol before I glue them.

Clean the surfaces good like Jon descibed. Also, apply the Fishing Glue to both the hard plastic/wood and the tail. By doing this, it preps both surfaces and they bond together better.
