Devils Lake first weekend in May?

I am in need of a little help. I fish Devils Lake a little in the summer, I was there 4 times last year, but this year I am going to come up a little earlier to give it a shot. I was wondering if the same spots I hit in June will work or if I have to go even shallower this early in the year. I am just looking for some help to eliminate a couple spots to maximize my fishing time. Thanks in advance and even if you have some thoughts, Please Share. Thanks Again,

In early May you will want to fish very shallow. A lot of the time when we are throwing jugs or crankbaits we are fishing in 1-5 ft of water. You want your jig or crank to almost land on the shore line.
