LOTW outlet

What is the outlet for Lake of the Woods - is it the Winnipeg River - where does it exit - Kenora? I was just up fishing the big pond last weekend and on the way up there, there was lots of water running in the ditches and I thought - man the rainy and LOTW sure drains a large area - never hear much about the out let.

Try the HSOforum, www.lwcb.ca. It is the control board site for Lake of the Woods. The control the (Contact US Regarding This Word), it's outflow, monitor historical date, etc. You can look at the past years rainfall totals and how it effected lake levels. You can look at the whole basin from Lac Suel all the way to Winnepeg. It's very informative. There is a section that explains how the water flows through the entire area.

Yep, the lake drains out right here in Kenora. Sure is a large watershed too.
