Trolling Plate

I have a trolling plate on my 100 horse. There is not a place to route the rope to operate it, where is the best place to route that so it doesn't get into the prop. Anyone run into this situation?

Anyone use these trolling plates?

I've got a different motor, so I'm sure it's not exactly the same deal. I just made sure there's enough slack so I can turn the motor completely in either direction. Then I tied off on the transom of my boat using cable ties.
