Bud
When you read about walleyes spawning between 45 and 50 degrees and becoming spring active at 55 to 60 degrees, at what depth of water does a person take these temp readings? Thanks, Bud
Valv
You might have more success if you post this in the Expert forum.Temp at your sonar is surface temp.
Surface Tension
Take the temps at the fishs level. Lake water warms from the surface. That is why when finding Spring and early season eyes your going to be looking for wind blown shorelines. That warmer surface water is getting blown in and it piles up. As for the river temps, if you take them in a shallow, fast area your going to get a good average reading.
