0 Surface Tension
I asked the same question last winter and had the same response, nothing. Anyone....
0 klbowe
Interference is crosstalk that occurs when flashers that operate in the same frequency range pick up "pings" from each other. If your two units operate in the same frequency range it is safe to assume you will have interferance. Go to the web pages for Lowrance and Vexilar and compare the spec's.If they do interfere you can try reducing the power or sensitivity and seperating the units as far as possible. (obviously). Also it maybe possible to change the ping speed of the Lowrance enough to solve the situation.Or keep posting here and other sites until you find someone who has experiance !good luck

0 eyesontonka
josh you need to be 4 feet apart min..works if you turn the sen down as low as you can..edit..was fishing 10 foot water at the time? i have is why on warmer days would i get more interference 35 degrees verses 20 below?makes no sense to me[This message has been edited by eyesontonka (edited 07-11-2004).][This message has been edited by eyesontonka (edited 07-11-2004).]
0 joshb
yeah i don't know. but it kinda chaps my one-just-like-silly-me that you spend $800 or so on all that **** and you can't even use them together. i used them in my boat with the vex in the bow and the interference was pretty bad. (water was 70 degrees?). i'm gonna try to change the ping speed on the low and get an S cable for the vex otherwise i'll have to spend more money on another vex so i can have them both in the house and use the low when i'm by myself. so much for that SBE i wanted to get. 0 Surface Tension
Differing water temps have different water densities this effects your ping. Two different sounders using the same frequency isn't in a lot of cases the cause for interference. I've used many sounders side by side with the same frequency with absolutely no interference. Ping array and profiles and in some cases just plan noisey ping cause interference. Vexialrs are the biggest culprits for interfering with other sounders. The suppression cable will help some.Turning your gain down on the Ice machine will help reduce the interference SEEN on the display but it'll also reduce what you WANT to see and that isn't an acceptable option as far as I'm concerned. Look in your Lowrance Ice machine's Sonar Features, Noise Reduction and select a higher level. If your considering a new sounder this winter to accompany your Vex think about the MarCum LX3.
