Stuck at home ain't so bad

Had to stay home from shooting today to keep my very sick son, at least it was a nice day and I got to shoot a few off the deck each time he managed to fall asleep...

Tom, you're dead right. Better to be stuck at home with a feeding station and the camera gear than stranded somewhere else with no camera.

Now, when you want to hit the boreal forest for a little shooting with your new topline gear, drop me a line. I'm about to go into the photo tour business up here around Ely, taking folks' money to show them where I shoot what I shoot, but I won't charge you a penny. Well, with the cost of gas, it won't be a free trip for you to get up here, but it's a great place to make images.

And feel free to bring the rest of your Nikon buddies along. I've already guided some Nikon folks, and there's nothing wrong with them that an upgrade in camera brand can't cure.

Kidding, of course. When shooters unlimber their two top brands it's the eye behind the camera that matters more than the camera. Get yourself up here. Not much for ducks in the boreal forest. Not much for wolves around the Cities!

I do try to shoot things that aren't ducks, but it always "fowls" me up.

Yeh, bubba, get up here in early June and I'll get you taking images of wild orchids and other boreal wildflowers that'll make you think ducks are fowl indeed.
