Ice house siding

Has anyone ever used aluminum soffit for the siding on their ice house?

I looked at it today and it comes in 12"x 12' pieces and would be very easy to work with since it has a lap joint. I would run it length-wise and it comes in lots of colors and the price is decent. I was just wondering about its durability since its only .019" thick and is ribbed (corrugated) every 6".

Any soffit I looked at has slots in it to let air in. I may be wrong but would say you are looking at something differant.

Yes, they also have a solid non-vented style.

Is that cheaper than regular steel pole barn siding? Seems like it would be more of a pain to apply. I doubt it would be very durable it's less than 1/2 the thickness of a standard vinyl siding. But you never know, might work out fine.
