I was wondering where I can get my hands on a couple of these. I tried doing some searches online and wasn't very successful. I wouldn't mind giving them a try just for something different this fall. I think I would only use it on my land...would feel very scared to display it on public land as I am sure I would have BB's flying my way otherwise. Has anyone expirenced hunting with them at all? How well do they work? I am assuming not real well otherwise it would be more common. If someone could steer me in the right direction I would appriciate it. If nothign else, maybe I will have a new Holloween costume.

I know years ago I heard of guys useing them but I myself never did. I remeber seeing them and imageing the laughs my buddys would get with me in one. grin.gif They did look interesting whether they worked or not I don't know. Maybe with luck you will find one and you will be able to give us all a field report on how it worked. I know when herters had there catalog and store they use to carry them. Good luck in your search!

The origianal "Goose Suits" never took off like they were intended to, so the two guys who made them stopped making them due to lack of money.

My buddy has two of them, I was alway going to have my mother who is an expert sticher sew me up a copy of his.

They do work to an extent, I have seen Jim and his son in law sit right in the middle of the sod field and slam the canada's as they set their wings and dropped their feet right on top of them.

But you have to becareful of your face and eyes, geese can see your eyes when they get up that close.

I saw one of these goose suits several years ago at MEl's in Spicer, and wouldnt be suprised at all if they still have it. I shoot my fair share of honkers between Minnesota, and a full time student license in North Dakota, and I must say that I am a bit skeptical of the suits. I've seen birds flare over some pretty small things before. Another thing is that it would demand abosolute motionless behavior, no last minute flaging, reloading and not to mention calling. Layout blinds=good in my opinion. I have never dressed up like a goose so I cant say for sure if it works or not, but Ive shot early season honkers in blue jeans too. Overall I probably wont leave the Final approaches at home any time soon.

I too would like to hear how it goes if you find one. Jackpine Robs right, pictures would be cool. Maybe see if can get a band to go with it. grin.gif
