MDHA Food Plot Seed program discount

We in the West Metro Chapter of the MDHA(MN Deer Hunters Assc) have the Food Plot seed program available again this year.

The past 2 years I have promoted this program on FM, and its been a hit to say the least.

We use money raised from the Hides for Habitat program, and subsidize the cost of the seed in order to make it more attractive for people to get involved in planting plots for wildlife.

Regular prices if purchased directly from MDHA are:

Wildlife Blend" - $83.75/25 lb bag $34.75/10 lb bag

"Clover Blend" - $69.75/25 lb bag $29.75/10 lb bag

"Annual Blend"- $93.75/25 lb bag $38.75/10 lb bag

Prices through the West Metro Chapter:

"Wildlife Blend" - $45/25 lb bag $20/10 lb bag

"Clover Blend" - $35/25 lb bag $15/10 lb bag

"Annual Blend"- $50/25 lb bag $20/10 lb bag

If you would like some basic info on the blends go to:

http://www.mndeerhunters.com/mdha/programs/food_plot.php

You do not need to be a member of the West Metro Chapter, nor do you need to be an MDHA member at all. But I ask that if you take advantage of this offer, that you consider joining. The money saved on the seed will easily cover an annual membership.

If you sign up before 6/1/06, you go into a drawing for an Arctic Cat ATV and other prizes. In addition, if you sign up, we have a seperate drawing for a print from the West Metro Chapter.

I will not ship seed. I work in Maple Grove, live in Big Lake, and spend a gob of time in the Battle Lake area. Any of the 3 places is an option to pick up the seed. I cant promise I will be in any of the 3 locations to easily get it distributed, but I will do my best to get seed to you as soon as I can personally do it. This is a big effort, and interest in plots is growing immensely. Depending on the interest levels, we may have to cut off the sale at some point. Not likely, but we have to watch closely how much "subsidizing" we can do out of our chapter.

Contact me at [email protected] if you are interested.

I have some seed left if anyone else is interested.

See details above.

My plots are smokin' right now. This weekend I plan to do some spraying to knock back the grasses and mow my clover.

I won't be ordering any more seed this year, so what I have left is it. I have mainly clover and annual blend.

I'd encourage people to try some of these blends, I've tried them all and the deer will use them all. Now is a perfect time to start working up a new spot for a late July planting of the annual mix or an August planting of the two clover mixes. And the 1/2 off price can't be beat!!! Plus Mark needs to get some of this out of his garage so he has room to store my seed!!!! smile.gifsmile.gif

Shoot me an email.

[email protected]

I know I have a 25# clover, but I think I am out of 10# wildlife. I could be wrong.

I am leaving town in minutes and wont be back until Friday.

We can hook up after that.

PS - The wildlife blend is basically a mix of the clover blend and annual blends. If I am out of the 10# wildlife blend, you could get a 10 lb annual and mix it with some of the clover.

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
