I am looking to build my own fish house for next winter already. I have tackled this before. I am always looking into newer and better ideas. One I am considering this time is a different roof. Has anyone thought about or used a Structural insulated panel of some sort? I seen some in Florida for sun porches that were alum on both sides sandwiched with 3" on polystrene insulation. 4' wide sections. Where would I find something like that here in MN? How about a rubber roof? I know some guys that built theirs with these, seems very simple to install and fairly neat. Rolled Alum, most common that I have seen. I noticed that all the rolled aluminum ones have a little 'rounded' front edge, is that a design in structure or how it just comes out? Like to hear ideas.
My new house will be 8'x 16' with a 3'V-nose(19'overall) tandem torsion axle hydraulic lift.
Wasn't terrible at a state park beach. Antelope island maybe. I wouldn't recommend it as a beach destination tho. Figured I was there, I'm getting in it.
The water looked and smelled disgusting with hundreds of thousands of birds sh*tting in there. About as gross as the Salton Sea. When I duck hunted there I didn't even want to touch the water.
It's kinda gross with the algae in the summer but I got in it anyway. Wanted to see the increased bouyancy at work. You can kinda tuck yourself into a ball and you'll just float with your head above water. When dry off you look diamond encrusted with the salt.
We went to the flats too. I dipped a tire on the rental car onto it just to say I’ve been there, but it was still pretty soft from winter melt. After seeing some moron in a BMW suv get dragged out of the muck I had no intention of repeating his stupidity.
