I have never fished Superior and dont really know what they are fishing for and what type of presentations are used for fish up here. any tips on whats going on would be appreciated i would love to give it a try this weekend.

We are fishimg mainly walleyes but you can usually throw in a mix of northern, perch and eel pout in there.

The presentations used are buck-shot rattle spoons jigging tipped with a shiner head and on a dead stick use a glow jig with a live shiner. your best bet is usually the last hour or two of daylight and then after that you might get into some eel-pout.

Good luck

Buoys mark the channel edges. Dont fish the channel!

You will want to fish either off the edge of the channel say 11-14' or on the flats in anyplace from 6-11'. I try to hit the few drops, humps and holes that I have marked on my H2Oc and Navionics chip. If you dont have that stuff just hit where you see people and set up away from them a ways. High traffic areas arent usually good on the flats. Too much noise. I would get at least 50 yards away from any groups of houses. 1 or 2 houses wont matter unless you have a guy fishing while his kid rides the wheeler around all day. confused.gif

The glow/perch buckshot spoon and Thumper jigs in glow or chart have been best for me. Also I like to set up a lindy type rig with a 3/8 oz. slip sinker on it and drop it down to bottom and let the big shiner or better yet a big fathead swim around in the current. No good if there is little current. Set it in a holder with the line semi tight and watch your rod tip for movement. Better yet if you have a Rod Rocker 2 or Rock n Reel use one of them.

I also have been having mixed results with the Blue Fox Tinglers and the Chart pimples with some glow tape on each side. Last one is now being draged around bottom by what I think was a pike. frown.gif

Any more questions e-mail me and I will help you however I can. Im within a few minutes of Barkers so it a easy trip after work.

Oh by the wy this past week fish were getting better sized but numbers still arent huge. Lucky to get 1 or 2 a night and at times nothin. Thats fishin though. Good luck.
