Saskatchewan waterfowl question

Anyone ever hunt the Quill lakes area? We have gone there four times and are going back this fall but are having a hard time finding fresh water. Some of the locals pointed us in the direction, but were not sure. We never found the area. Did a search on some maps and found out North of Quills (seemed to be 25-30 miles) there were lot's of potholes. Anyone aware of this? BC
