Ice bite update

Recommended Posts

Here's the report from my neck of the woods: Panfish biting well this past week with good size in Chetec area lakes - also heard Red Cedar was producing. Rice Lake area also consistent. Closer to home, my old man continues to pound real nice perch on Altoona - 8 inchers are about the smallest he keeps with 11-13 inchers being the big fish. Gonna hit a tourney on Hallie tomorrow, which kicks out some oversized northerns. Overall it seems to be a real good year for ice fishing. Hows the fishin in your neck of cheeseland?

I live in far western wisconsin. Not much for bite going on here. Panfish have been very finniky. Northerns have been so-so with some decent 28-32 inchers. Thinking of heading up to Big Round to go after some 'eyes!! Haven;t been after them yet this year.
