Crow Lake musky tackle??

Recommended Posts

I'm headed to Crow Lake this coming summer for the first time ever. We will be chasing muskies for a week. Those of you who have been ther before, what would you reccomend we bring with for tackle? I understand the lake is as clear as drinking water. I have alot of musky lures, but maybe there is something I don't have or some colors that work better. Maybe a certain bucktail or topwater that I don't have either. I'd like to start buying them now so I don't have such a big expence come summer.

Is this a casting lake or mostly a trolling lake. We are going in early July. I can't wait.

Thanks

E-mail Paul up at MB, he would be happy to help you with any tackle and techniques used up there. I think they generally catch the 'ski's while trolling. You may also ask the guys at Thorne Bros, they seem to have some knowledge on Crow.
