There have been times when I've wished I could fish two lines. However, every line I have out needs my attention all the time - jigging, lure action, wind and currents, and other aspects of the environment which constantly change my presentation, or that I need to change,. Fishing two lines just adds stress to an activity that I depend upon for relaxation. I don't care how many lines I'm allowed to fish - one is plenty for me. Catching fish is certainly the goal, but I don't mind not cathing any once in a while.

In my experience, there's only way way I'll get up before first light on a weekend, and that's to see the sun rise over the lake. If I had more than one line in the water, I'd probably miss it.

I know I'm an ineffective angler, but it's not the destination I'm after, it's the journey.
