IFINDER HUNT C UPDATE

JUST GOT A SOFTWARE UPDATE NOTICE FOR THE HUNT C FROM LOWRANCE. JUST TO LET EVERYONE KNOW THERE IS ONE AVAILABLE. DATED 1-9-2006.

I just ordered this unit today the Hunt C plus as well as the MN Lakemasters chip form Jolly Ann.

What will I have to do to complete the upgrade?

All you need is a SD card writer and then you go to Lowrance's HSOforum and click on Software updates. Find your unit in the list and just follow the instrctions. When you put the card in your unit and turn it on, it automaticlly does the update. You won't have any problems using your unit with the lakemaster card. I have been using mine for about a month now and it works "FANTASTIC"

I now have 4 of the Lowrance GPS units. Love them all.

FYI- The update is to activate the microphone and added voice notes to waypoints.

I can't find the thread it was in but, someone wrote awhile back to hit EXIT three times fast and an analog speedometer will be displayed. After trying it, it didn't work the first time so, I tried it again and it did work. You can adjust the analog speedometer scale by using the zoom in and zoom out buttons, too.

This has nothing to do with the update but thought this thread was good to post it in.

Yep, it is kinda neat. I heard about this last year and it worked on my X-15 in the boat also.
