Prophet:

All I can say is good luck. I have been out, along with fishers of men, and to tell you the truth - it is extremely dead. Even the pans are just pecking at the bugs. Orange would be one day, then moon glows the other. Have to switch often and watch the vex to see what they want to look at then concentrate on that spectrum. Maybe this snow will stimulate the bite. There are lakes in B. county that they were driving and now they are not. 10" to 13" ice. Not enough for me, especially with the snow. Time to bond with the masterette of my domain, so I can accumulate those brownie points for another day. Have a great new year.

Got a report from last Sat - guy was on Bear Trap and it was real slow. He typically does real well there but not Sat. Let us know how you do. Good luck.

Interesting, my father has been limiting out on an area lake everyday. The limit there is only 10, but he's had steady action the last 2 weeks. Mostly perch and bluegills with the occasional crappie. Brought a 13.75 inch perch over to my work last week, weighed 1.355 lbs on our electronic scale. I told him to mount it, but he's old school and it got the knife/hot oil treatment.

Fished Big Round Lake Tuesday and Wednesday. It was very quiet. Five of us managed 2 eater walleyes, 9 small pike and 2 bass. We fished more than 8 hours each day. Didn't try for panfish.

Ice was 11-12 inches and there were trucks driving everywhere. Not me!!!

Good luck. WG
