FL8

Walleye #1

I was wondering if it really makes a difference when buying the FL 8 which has the 9degree and 19 degree option for the transducer. Or will I be happy enough with the 9 degree stand buy. I finally have saved enough of my pennies to go and purchase a flasher. A FL 8 will serve me just fine. Comments or experiences using the FL 8.

You will be happy with any of the different transducers. They will all accomplish the same goal, to help you catch more fish. I have used all of them the 9, 12, and 19 degree cones. There isn't noticeable difference umless you are fishing very deep water on a regular basis.

If you are interested in a new FL-8. Check out the Store Sales Forum. We have a great sale going on right now. I could ship you one. Good Luck on your new purchase. It will change your outlook on ice fishing.

Walleye #1,

If you have the money get the FL18 more features and I would get the Dual cone 9 and 19 degree, for fishing deep water, or shallow.

I use this in Canada for Lake Trout Ice fishing its nice to see your jig in 60 to 70 ft, with the 9 degree cone. smile.gif
