tip up

just getting into ice fishing and was wondering what is the best line and weight for a tip up and what type of leaters to us. sorry spelling

25-30 lbs. braided tips line works good and then use a steal leader if fishing for noterherns or some 10 lbs. monophiloment for a leader if your going after walleyes. good luck.

Vinyl coated tip-up line, a good ball bearing swivel and then 6-8 feet of 15 lb. flourocarbon. You'll be set for just about anything.

I use 30 lb braided line on all my tip ups, and put a snap swivel at the end. Then I make up all my leaders, about 4 ft of 8 lb fluro for everything but pike which is 50 lb fluro.. I put them in small zip lock bags.. switch when I need them
