Need help with time of day

Kinda depends on what you are fishing for but the general rule of thumb is the same. Early morning start shallow and work deeper. Drill a few holes, drop down your flasher or camera, see if there are any fish and if not go drill a couple more holes. What you don't want to do is drill a bunch of holes and then start fishing, you might be wasting prime catching time.

The key to ice fishing is being mobile if you want to catch fish.

But on the other side of the fence... If you know your spot and have fished it before, predrilling holes from shallow to deep to fallow the fish once they start moveing back down will save time later and not spook to many fish.

I'm thinking walleyes, and some of the same places I catch eyes in the A.M. are the same places I like to fish for jumbo perch after the eye bite slows down.
