fishing just north of Cambridge last weekend in 29' of water, we pulled 5 walleyes into the house (missed 5 others, lite bites) the fish were sitting 2" off the bottom.

this past wednesday, started fishing in the same spot and nothing, moved to 20', nothing. moved to 16', nothing. moved to 10' nothing. finally, frustrated, moved out to 46' and got a walleye bite 2" from the bottom.

could the lake have turned already? maybe the storm?

putting my house out tomorrow, and i am so confused...

Every lake can vary greatly where the walleyes lurk for food.

I caught my 3 deepest walleyes of this ice season yesterday afernoon(daylight).. 11'. I have had consistant action in 6'-8'.

It all depends on the lake. I dont look deep until the fish move out... late in the season is when that usually happens.
