0 Sliderfishn
I am guessing that the transducer needs to be lowered 1/8 inch. Does it work at slower speeds? How about at WOT?
0 MNBIGBEAR
It does work most of the time at lower speeds. what about the angle of the transducer? is there any rule of thumb to that?
0 kslipsinker
Your transducer should be parallel to the bottom of the lake. In other words, if it is angled at all, you will not get a true and accurate reading for depth. Most boats run flat, so set it so the bottom of the transducer is on the same plane as the bottom of the boat. I sould hand down below the bottom of the keel. 0 Giant_Jackpot
Any transducer I have ever installed on the transom had to have the back end tilted down (or towards the front of the boat) slightly. Follow the instructions that came with the unit and you should be OK. If you do not have the instructions you should be able to download them off of the manufacturers web site.
