I fish lakes in ontario and it begins January 1st and closes September 30th.

Hey Cedarnarrowsguy,

Where is you cabin on the manitou. I own Camp Manitou and we are going to be open this winter for ice fishing. Maybe we can hookup sometime this winter.

Sorry about the delay, just got back from Lake of the Woods. Our cabin is by Straw L. I usually get up a couple of times to fish trout in the winter. Not as much as I would like to. I sure hope the slush situation is better than last year. What's the word so far this season? Will it be slushy for the opener?

The report that I got on thursday, was that there is a ton of slush out there. We have had some really cold temps the last couple of days, but we also have quite a bit of snow for that cold to push through. At this point it looks like we are going to have the same kind of year we have had the last 2 years. I'm not looking forward to it.

Where exactly is your cabin, I have never seen one on straw lake?
