RedPolls???? Where are they? (pics included)

Last year at this time I had hundreds of Redpolls that would swarm my feeders all day long and they stayed until late March. I have yet to see one this year, and frankly, it depresses me. They were my favorite little seed eaters. Anyways, I dug up a couple of photos that I took last year to fill the void--thought I'd share them with you guys (and gals).

OK......bird ID....I think these are redpoles but not sure....came across this flock while looking for owls this morning ......they were in front of my truck and kept flying 30 '...landing..........i'd get closer....they'd fly another 30 '....land again!...not a very good photo for sure...(taken through the windshield) ....jonny grin.gif
