First pheasants ever

Here are two photos from our hunt on Saturday. This was the first pheasants that either of us have ever shot. The photos are of the same three birds, but with each of us and our dogs. A very nice day of hunting indeed. Neither of us have ever really pheasant hunted to speak of, but this year we decided to give it a try... Now I know why people do it. What a blast...

Tom - congrats! Looks like you guys had fun. Welcome to another addiction. HAH! Where did you guys hunt? Pairing up your photography skills and pheasant hunting will results in some great photo-essays, I'm sure. Looking forward to more pictures "afield".

Hard to beat following a good dog in a pheasant field!!!

Probably a little harder hunt for picture taking though...not much sitting around time with the camera!
