Dry Running a Flasher...

Someone had asked a question to me, and I cant find the post, so I hope you see this.

THe question was reguarding a statement I had made earlier that I had heard that it was not a good idea to run a tranceducer on while not in water.

I have asked quite a few people in the "know" and it turns out, that is a myth.. Its perfectly fine to run your flashers out of the water. Sorry I posted incorect information. I was just passing on something I had heard earlier.

Good to hear, Deitz. That was me askin'. I was thinking about it again last night as I was running the LX-3tc while walking from spot to spot with a jug of water to check depths over a grid I had paced off over a break. Also thought about it lifting the ducer out of the hole to avoid hanging it up on those pesky walleye. grin.gif I was just about to email Jon at Marcum about it... or was that where you got the straight dope?
