maj330
How do you store your spring bobber rod? For example, one of the St. Croix rods. Do you take your hook off it and put the straw chunk back into the tip guide? Or just stuff it into a rod bag?
0 loebs93
TTTI think this is an interesting question. I usually just leave the spring attached to the rod, take the hook and attach that to the hook loop and then reel the line tight – folding the spring bobber back toward the reel. I am fine doing this with the cheaper spring bobbers, but when it comes to the one Legend I have I slide the spring out of the guide and let it hang from the line. I don’t cut the line; everything stays attached.
0 maj330
Thanks for the suggestion! I couldn't find any info on the St. Croix site about storage tips. I originally folded the bobber back onto itself but every time I looked at it I started to get a queasey feeling. I think I'll remove the bobber from the holder like you from now on.
