Any ice reports on Spirit Lake, Okoboji's, Silver, Center, etc.?

Any thoughts on how the hard water fishing season will be this year around there. I am originally from NW Iowa and usually make it back to ice fish 2-3 times a winter. Just looking for some thoughts and reports.

I live in Emmetsburg, Im gonna go pop a couple holes in 5 island this afternoon to see what its like out there. Next weekend I'm headin over to Spirit Lake and plan on knockin a few holes. Ive got some friends over there to give me reports too so I'll keep ya up to date.

I did a little scouting myself yesterday at Okoboji. 4" of ice was nowhere to be found. In clear spots where the wind had swept the snow off the ice you could find 3", but these places were hard to find over fishable water.

We checked Angler's Bay, the Grade, the canals between Millers and Emerson, and Little Emerson. The grade and the canals had the only fishable ice, and it waas pretty thin. But by this coming weekend, there should be plenty of ice on the bays.

Hoping to hit Spirit possibly around Christmas. How is the ice looking right now? Anyone been out around there yet?

Does anyone have any ice reports or fishing reports for the Iowa Great Lakes? I see there is going to be a warm up. Is that going to mess up the ice at all?
