RussDaBuss
Do a search in this forum from the last year or so and you will find PLENTY! I just did some 2 weeks ago for the first time and tested a jar the other nite!! AWESOME. good stuff. I made 7 pints and tested a few different things. The one I tasted I put 1/2tsp. of Pickling salt and a little Lipton onion soup mix. Some of the others I put a chunck of onion and salt, and some others I tried beef bullion cube... Good luck, You will like. Also try the link below, Helped me!!http://www.extension.umn.edu/distribution/nutrition/DJ0516.html
almosthaddabite
Canned venison is great. The tallow rises to the top of the jar and is easily removed. Also it makes a quick meal in the fish house.I start with a 1/8 t of salt and pepper, one clove of garlic and 1/4 of an onion per pint. I use venison for chilli so I add a dried hot pepper or two to several jars.Just use your imagination, you know what you like.Pints take 90 minuits @10 pounds pressure. Don't vary from this. I'm assuming you know how to can.
