I work for a tackle shop. How are you getting around the MAP pricing?

We do not participate in the MAP program. Vexilar is aware of this. We prefer to give the consumer the best deal available. Please give us a call if you are looking for a new unit. They are great units at a great price!

Koolguie, I think MAP programs work more if you purchase your items directly from the manufacturer. The mfg holds you to MAP to help the smaller shops that have to buy through wholesalers at higher prices.

In most of my cases, when I buy directly from the mfg's, I have to abide by MAP programs. If I were to buy the same items through one of my wholesalers, I can do what I want with prices. It all depends on how much margin you want to make. Not sure about Vexilar though. I'm sure Sportland has done their homework on the matter.
