Air box snow filter

I'm so pleased with myself I just had to tell somebody . I use a 95 Polaris Trail Deluxe, mostly for fishing. The foam insert that goes on top of the air box has deteriorated and the loose foam was sucking into the box. So, I opened my big brain. I bought a shop-vac filter, used the cylinder as a template, cut a perfect circle. After peeling out the old foam there's a 1/2 inch lip and I glued the new shop-vac filter piece in place. Voila. Looks and works good as new. Shop-vac filter was $4.00 and there's enough for 2. I'd hate to think what Polaris gets for the part!
