spring bobber rods

In the latest issue of the In Fisherman's Ice rag there is an article that delves into some of the spring bobber rod concepts. They are working with and interviewing Greg W., the developer of the St.Croix ice rod people are talking about so much. The article mentions many of this style of rod including the Thorne line and helps to give some idea of how these rods can be very useful tools for those who demand that fine line.

If there are people who are finding themselves lost in all the tackle rambling of late, this article could be very helpful.

Great advice Tom! I forgot all about that article crazy.gif Good thing you're on the ball.

Like Tom said, this article talks about the different spring rods and manufacturers out there. Would be a good read for someone who is a bit confused or new to spring bobber rods.

Tom-

That article is indeed a good read. In fact, when I was visiting the parents last weekend over Thanksgiving, my dad decided that he needed a St. Croix Legend spring bobber rod after reading that article and looking at the rods at Cabela's in EGF. I'm slowly convincing him that high quality rods are worth the money and I was a wee bit surprised when he mentioned wanting a Croix rod to me.

Looks like my X-mas shopping for dad will be easy this year. grin.gif
