Whitewater???

Hey, just looking to get the dog out a bit closer to home and was thinking about heading to Whitewater WMA to look around. Has anybody ever pheasant hunted the area? Are there any areas that are managed for pheasants? I suppose I will look around and see what I see. If I can't find any areas to hunt pheasants in then I guess I will look for some of those imaginary grouse that are supposedly in Minnesotas woods. Any info on the area would be very helpful. South of the metro Pheasants area very few and far between this year. I guess it is time to try something else. Later.

I HAVE SPENT CONSIDERABLE TIME IN THAT VALLEY AND THE PHEASANTS ARE FEW AND FAR BETWEEN. GROUSE ARE MUCH EASIER TO LOCATE AND WILL PROVIDE MORE ACTION. I ALSO SUGGEST YOU TRY THE KRUEGER RECREATION AREA WEST OF KELLOG NEAR THEILMAN. THE GROUSE ARE THERE. I HAVE DONE WELL IN THE CEDAR TREES THERE AFTER THE SNOW ARRIVES.
