CPL
I recently purchased a pair of Ice Armor gloves. I wore them the other evening when the temp was down around 20 degrees (not particularly cold). They did not keep my fingers particularly warm, also when I was taking them off, the velcro ripped off one of the gloves.I went to exchange them at Scheel's but they were sold out so could only refund my money. My question is, was my experience unusual (should I expect better performance/quality) or have others had similar poor experiences with the gloves? When they get more in at Scheel's (or elsewhere) would others recommend replacing, or should I purchase some other gloves? If folks recommend purchasing others are there any recommendations? How about SealSkinz? Thanks for the input and advice.Scott
nluchau
I picked up a pair for my brother for x-mas. I heard they are the warmest water proof glove made for ice fishing. The Scheel's rep also said this. I will see how my brother like's them and until then I guess I can't let you know.
Jim Hudson
CPLHavent had any problems with mine.. I have two pair... Have wore my one pair quite a few times already... At times, they were too warm... but they are breathable so it took care of my hands sweating inside.... The coldest weather I have worn them in so far was probably about 9 degrees. We will see how they hold up the rest of the season!!
Captain B.R.K
CPL- I can't atest to the performance of the glove. HOWEVER I would get on the phone Monday morning to Clam Corp. and let them know about your dissatisfaction with their glove. I've dealt with their customer service before and it is top notch. I'm pretty sure they'll help you.
