fisher_king2004
Any hints on where I could buy some small patches of canvas to repair a hole in my portable? Looking for green color.
Bobb-o
dont know how much you need, but normally you can find canvas tarps at hardware stores in a variety of colors, it may not be as thick as the rest of your canvas but it should work
kb1965
I have a couple of holes in a Clam sleeper I got. Contacted Clam themselves and they sent me out a piece of blue canvas free. Great customer service..Kevin
hanson
What color green are you looking for fisher_king?Otter dark green or Eskimo green?Otter sells patch material on their HSOforum available in both purple and green. I'm not sure about Eskimo but I'm willing to bet that a quick call to customer service would maybe be the solution.
Gus
I've had great luck with iron on patches you can get at any fabric sore or walmart's fabric dept. They make a variety of materials and colors. The wife looks at you funny when you are ironing a fish house but never your shirts... Tip: I usually cut the patch in a circle and iron on. With the circle there are no corners to start to peel up. I've had some patches on for 5 years and they have not peeled off yet.
fisher_king2004
I never even thought about iron on patches. I might try that first. I'm looking for an Otter portable green color canvas. I thought about calling Otter but if there is a cheaper repair method I'm going to try that first. The holes are small at this point and I want to cover them up before they get bigger. Thanks for the tip!
