Season Ratings

Not that the open water season is over for the year by any means, but many folks are in full blown hunting mode. I just thought it would be nice to reflect back on the season as a whole or maybe someone has a speacial memory of the summer they want to share.

My reflection:

The season as a whole was great other than my boat puttered out on me in June. As luck would have it I happend to have a duck boat that could be changed over to a fishing machine. Using this boat forced me off the larger area lakes and put me on some smaller ones that I might not have otherwise attempted to fish. Low and behold the fish seemed to cooperate enough to make things interesting and I have some new fishing spots that I really wan tot hit come ice fall. No real big fish over the summer just good numbers of average size fish. In fact my largest walleye came out of Northern Minnesota.

Please help us evaluate the SD fishing season as awhole!

Wish I would have got out more back in SoDak but only managed to get out one time over the 4th of July. Fishing was slow for us though. I did hear of some decent fishing this year around the Watertown area though, hopefully I can get out on my trips back once ice hits.

BTW, Mike how was the pheasant hunting last weekend?
