tomfromblaine
Can some one tell me the benefits of the canvas vs the lighter material on the wilderness, also does anybody know where a guy can sit in a Northern model from the wilderness series? federline
Heavy vs. light material for flip over: If you use a flip over frequently, you will inevitably rip the flip-over material on something, it's just a matter of time. Heavier material will put it off longer. The ice fishing show in St. Paul is coming up, you'll be able to sit in ALL the houses there.
walleye_dog
On a windy day you can REALLY tell the difference, the heavier canvas helps keep the heat in.
tomfromblaine
I guess Thats what I was really trying to figure out except I didn't know it until you brought this up . In my mind I was just thinking about how stiff that material would be, seems nice in the store but things change on the ice.
hanson
The Otter Pro Series canvas stays very pliable in cold weather. I know I've personally fished in my Otter way down to -20 with a good wind and the canvas folds back up just fine. Usually, there is a 1/8" of frost built up on the inside by the time I break the house down when its that cold.
