ratmn218 Posted November 10, 2005 Share Posted November 10, 2005 looking for a primary cluch off a 2004 sportsman 500 h.o., i have a 2001 sportman that ive tried to make right, but with no luck. dealer said only way is to replace it, 2001 was known for bad clutches 2004 had the new good clutches.even at lowest idle it creeps forward and shifts hard,i just dont want to spend the 400.00 or better for brand new.dont know if there are any salvage yards around duluth area. sledhead Posted November 24, 2005 Share Posted November 24, 2005 you need a new fiber bushing in the primary, and shim the secondary out. Tell your local Polaris dealer to look it up in their tech bulletins it was an up date on ebs clutches assuming you have one. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
