This kid sure can drive a racecar! My question to you guys is, do you think he will be the next Jeff Gordon? Will his winning pace continue and do you think he will knock off a few championships along the way?

I think he is a very good driver. Just like all the other rousch drivers he has good equipment, and he knows how to win when he has the car to do it. That said, when ford has to redesign the car body all the drivers will take a small step backward. I doubt he will be the "next best thing" because the competition and technology in nascar is much better than it was 10 years. Just because a guy is hot one year doesn't mean he can keep it up. ie kennseth, newman, busch (All still good drivers, but not as hot as they were a couple years ago.)

He is good, not dought about that. The equipment is also good, but so is equipment for Vickers, Kahne, and Kvapil. These three haven't done half as much as Edwards....together. I really think Vickers is going to need to win early next year or his seat may be up for grabs. Edwards came into the 99 from the Trucks and posted more top 10's in 13 races than Burton had all year. Is he the next Gordon? Maybe, but will the "Car of Tomorrow" affect the dominations of some teams? I hope it isn't like IROC!!!
