Help, short reed goose call

I need some pointers and tips on blowing a short reed goose call, i have the RNT goosezilla call. I cannot blow a short reed at all and have been trying but i just cannot do it. Any pointers?

Tough to pinpoint what might be the problem. All I can say is to make sure your cheeks aren't "puffing" out. Start by making a grunt into the call or say the word grrr. Hopefully you can get some sort of sound and go from there. Don't give up. Keep practicing and you'll love what the short reeds give you.

Get the video Honker Talk by Shawn Stahl. It is a great video and will have you blowing a short reed in no time. I would consider this video to be essential to learning a short reed. Without it i would still be struggling trying to learn.
