How are you doing toward your goal this year? I am 24% of the way to mine.

Ok i'm bad at math...your goal is 25 and you have 24% of that...lets see..hmm 6 birds?

Not as well as you yet!! I have 5% of my goal. We shot more birds openeing weekend but that is the only one I can call mine.

I'm hitting it Friday and Saturday so lets hope that number rises!!

Well I took a trip out to a western state and I am now at 92% of my goal. However, I will be taking off the next couple of weeks for deer hunting.

The pup is making great progress. She understands the game now. When she smells a bird, she gets "birdy" and tries to find it. When/if she found it, she pointed just great. The problem is, she isnt very good at following the trail yet. After I shoot a bird, she is quick to the spot and grabs the bird. Sunday she had a heck of a tussle, but won. She is not retrieving yet though. She fetches a tennis ball great, but "Fetch it up" didnt produce anything on a rooster. Course she only weighs 24 lbs, so it is pretty big compared to her.
