Reminton 870 Express Super Magnum.

well guys i am looking for some input here. i own an 870 Express Super Magnum with the rifled slug barrel and was wondering how much it is worth. The gun was used for two years and proabably 50 boxes of shells through it, and the slug barrel has been used 4 years with about 40 bullets through it, I was looking for how much i could possibly get for it if i wanted to sell it, which will happen within the next year but definitly not until deer hunting is over incase i need to use it for the shotgun zone. I have the exact same gun! I would guess that it is probally worth about $275-$325. My question is why you want to sell it? Do you need the money? Cause any gun you can keep is worth while keeping. BUT if you ever want to sell it!!! Let me know!

Yes I have both barrels, the real reason i am selling it is i don't need it anymore, i purchased a Benelli Super Black Eagal a few years ago and find i now hunt rifle zone for deer and just don't find a need for the gun, my plan is to sell that gun and a tikka .223 and buy a tikka 25-06 for deer and coyotes.

I would guess you could get around $325-350 for it.

Just a reminder you can't used a .223 for deer. It's has to be at least a 6mm. The 25-06 I believe is fine or maybe a .243Win. I bought a Remi 700 .243Win cause I hunt varmints-deer.

Yeah thats why i am selling my .223 along with my shotgun to get a 25-06 for hunting deer and coyotes.

I think i am going about this the right way, I don't need my Remington 12 gauge anymore and i could get a better all round rifle with the 25-06, or do i have this idea way too stuck in my head. Thanks for the replies so far guys.

Parting with a gun you don't need or use, upgrading to a gun you will use and want. Sounds like a plan to me.
