Might be a weird subject to post, cuz i know ppl dont want to give there lakes away. But i had my house on bald eagle last year and had a lot of break-ins and the ever loving "[PoorWordUsage]" in my house. (this is a whole other subject) I was thinking of moving to peltier this year good crappies and even a few walldoggies i hear. Just wondering what ppl thought. Oh i need it to be close to white bear lake. wife is preagnant makes fishing far away tuff

I know what you mean B.E. has become a zoo in past few years. White Bear Lake can be a real good lake if you are willing to put in the time and find the fish. We have done good out there the past few years not tons of fish but good size crappies and eyes. And it is not seeing the winter pressure it once did. We have not had any problems with the house out there for 3 years. We have been out in front of the county beach area.

yeah i thought about white bear lake, but like you said hard lake to fish got a few spots on there for summer, suppose i could use my portable to look around but just figured it would be as bad as bald eagle with all the high schoolers and stuff, with my wife being preagnant i suppose my distance would probably be about 20 min away or so. i live in white bear so i have a lot of lake choices. just want to find a lake that has a little less partying traffic. and "[PoorWordUsage]ING TRAFFIC'

Peltier was good about 5 years ago. It has been overfished and I would not recommend it. One lake you haven't said is Forest Lake. I have been fishing this lake for the past few years and have done quite well. We put up tip ups for northerns during the day and then in the evening we move to about 16 feet of water and jig for walleyes with prett good success. Last year we caught a 26" and lots of fish in the low 20"s And no we were not on willow point.
