I'd like to announce the line-up for the 2006 IceLeaders.com I.C.E. Series competitive events...

This year will have a cash prize aspect added to this years ICE Series Events along with the prize drawing for all who want to participate same as last year without the $10 entry fee.

We will have two competitive events along with several "Get Togethers."

The two competitive events will have entry fees and pay-outs, as well as prizes. They will be 2-angler per team events with the same emphasis of being a multi-specie tournament. A day of fishing followed by a weigh-in.

If you wish to fish like last years ICE series that style is FREE. The prize drawings are for anyone who registers, shows up to fish the ICE series, and is at the drawing whether you compete or not. So the prize drawing is FREE this year, you just have to sign-up by 8am and be there at the 2pm weigh-in. No need to fish in a team format if you just want to be eligible for the prize drawings.

we've added this year a cash pay-out and top 3 prizes for those who are want to compete in the two man team format (see details at IceLeaders.com ).

Series Pro Staff will be there to host the seminars and spend time fishing with the group after and during the seminar as well.

The Get Togethers will be announced in the future as they are further organized. Expect another Cool Cats, Backwater Brawl, and Burntside Bash among others...

Fez,

Here are the species and the points that they equate too...

Scoring-

Fish will be scored on the basis of weight converted to points.

Each two person team may only score the following number of fish.

* 2 walleye per team

* 1 pike per team

* 2 bass per team

* 5 crappie per team

* 5 perch per team

* 5 sunfish per team

* 1 eelpout, 1 cisco, 1 whitefish, 1 carp or 1 sucker per team-

-(note only 1 of these rough fish will be allowed and eelpout will be scored at .5 points per pound)

Once a fish is weighed, that fish will go towards that teams total.

Once a tourney limit of any species is scored, no other fish from that species will be recorded. All slot sizes and limits will be observed. Game law violations will be cause for disqualification from the event. No refunds. You must take care of your own fish after weigh-ins are complete.

Event Scoring System is as Follows:

# 1 pound of Walleye/Sauger = 1 point

# 1 pound of Bass = 1 point

# 1 pound of Pike = 1 points

# 1 pound of Perch= 1 point

# 1 pound of Sunfish=1 points

# 1 pound of Crappie=1 points

# 1 pound of Eelpout=.5 points

# 1 pound of Carp/Sucker=1 points

# 1 pound of Cisco/Whitefish=1 points

Special Rules or Changes

The Tournament Director or scorer will announce each morning any necessary rules changes.

Frozen or thawed out fish will be disqualified at the tournament scorers discretion.

The Tournament scorers decision will be final.

If requested, by the Tournament Director, the winning team of the event must submit to a lie detector test.

All fish scored at official event site will be scored by the official scorers.

So if we are out there and its ten below, we catch a fish that is eligible to be weighed, we would have to bring it into to be scored before its frozen to prevent having the chance of our fish being DQ'ed?

Chris,

There are several different things that you could do.

You can create your own icewell by drilling a hole and not quite punching all of the way thru.

You can use one of the icewells made by Today's Tackle

You can pack your fish in a cooler with snow. The snow will insulate them and keep them from freezing.

Any of the above will work just fine.

Are you thinking of signing up, or were you just curious??

Ok, I was just curious about that, I have the ice well, just never used it, sounds good.

Yeah I am going up with three other guys, we are staying at his place right next to Arneson's resort. Heading up there tuesday night and will do some pre-fishing and putzing around, I am thinking of chasing lakers wednesday thursday possibly friday too or try to find some crappies too. Is this contest only on the US side or if we have proper licenses can we go to Canada?
