I Took Buzzy's Advice!

Recommended Posts

Well Buzz,

I took your advice about fishing and had the boat loaded up and ready to go on Friday. After watching my Pale Hose sweep the Carmine's out and after the last champagne bottle was emptied, I took off for Kentucky for 3 days of bass fishin. There is a new lake in Kentucky that was built just for fishing. It is called Cedar Creek Lake and it is in Crab Orchard in Lincoln County. It is about 110 miles east of Louisville and 50 miles due south of Lexington and it is awsome. It is about 780 acres of pure fishing paradise. They built this lake with just fishing in mind, tons of natural and man made structure and cover. Hundreds of submerged and partially submerged trees and NO PERSONAL WATERCRAFT! That's right, no swimming, skiing, jetskis. No motor restrictions and no personal docks on the lake. It is entirely owned by the state DNR and has a 300 foot radius around the lake where nobody can own land. My cousin owns about 200 acres around the lake and is in hog or should I say bass heaven watching his property value soar. My mother's house is only 4 miles from the lake which saves on the hotel bill. What a blast. We were there right after a cold front dropped the temps from the 80's to the high 50's low 60's so the bass were spotty and sluggish for the weekend. Managed a couple 15 inch, a 17 inch and an 18 inch but saw plenty of photos of 22's at the bait shop. Also, there is a one fish limit and it must be 20 inches or more to keep! They are targeting this lake as a destination spot for the future with tournaments and great bass fishing. It has already been designated as a trophy lake after only 3 years. If you are an avid basser, I would put this one on your radar screen.

Anyway, got back in time to watch my Pale Hose give the Angels their handicap for the series. Now it is time to go to work. I am predicting my Pale Hose to finish this thing up in Anaheim and not even come back to the Windy City.

Anyway, thought you would appreciate the story since you suggested that I get back to fishing, Buzz!

YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOARD...YES!

It's nice to get away and do some fishing isn't it. I've gotta figure out something for this week before it gets away myself. maybe I'll head over to a new mystery lake not so far away and nab a few Pike and Crappies... I've never fished this lake but I hear it's decent and nobody knows about it.

Geno,

And just like the Bartman play, the Cubs were still up 3 games to 2 and were still winning that game by 3 runs and they had the two best pitchers to ever rub a rosin bag pitching in the two games, they choked. The AJ play did not score the winning run, Josh Paul could have thrown out Ozuna at 2nd, he didn't. Escobar could have retired Crede with an 0-2 count, he didn't. Instead he hung a curve ball for A WHITE SOX WINNER!

Don't try peddling that Bartman feces here, fish ain't biting.

C'mon Windy, I think Angelfish will bite....

If the bad call doesn't happen then the inning is over and there's no steal attempt and no clutch hit by Crede-then who knows? But you are right about one thing, the call is worse for the Angels than the Bartman fiasco was on the Flubs. Although the home-town call for the Flubs would have been fan interference since the ball was catchable by Alou.

And please stop contradicting yourself: either Wood and Prior are the 2 best ever or Santana and Rincon are. Make up my mind.
